Abstract

The discussion of collaboration towards the creation of a knowledge-based economy of space technology has not been done much in previous studies in Indonesia. The research based on this literature study is expected to fill the gap in the literature, specifically related to the importance of implementing collaboration. The unit of analysis of this research is the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space Institute (LAPAN). The results of the study obtained were in the form of the compilation of the initial collaboration model proposed covering three main stages, namely the identification of basic collaborative needs, sharing of data and information, and measurement of performance. The results of this study are able to refute the theory of competitive advantage which is always the main reference for the survival of a research organization.
