Abstract

LSU-05 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was resulted by Aeronautics Technology Center, Indonesian National Institute of Aeronautics and Space, LAPAN. This unmanned vehicle has the piston combustion engine as power sources. Through analytical methods, and data plane LSU-05 technical specifications, has been carried out characterization propulsion engines for vehicle such LSU-05. It was a support to get performance of LSU-05 UAV reliable in achieving the mission as an air cargo carrier like payload. The characteristics of piston combustion engine in question were the output power of 14 HP/6400RPM or 11 HP/6000 RPM, and subsequently selected as the propulsion engine LSU-05 UAV.
