Abstract

Variations of geomagnetic quiet days describe the geomagnetic field fluctuations are influenced by the process of heating and ionisation in the E layer of the ionosphere. At low latitudes, the dominant current on a quiet day is the Sq current. Closure of solar radiation in the event of a total solar eclipse will cause a decrease in electron density and will cause changes in geomagnetic variations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the total solar eclipse to the geomagnetic field. By eliminating the geomagnetic disturbance of daily geomagnetic field variations, will be obtained the quiet days. The quiet days patten at a lower total solar eclipse is more lower 17 nT than from one pattern of the international geomagnetic quiet days.
